Ipek Serifsoy


Ipek Serifsoy is an executive coach and organizational consultant specializing in leadership, leadership communication, team development, and women’s leadership. She helps clients increase their leadership presence and ability to motivate, influence and inspire others. Working at both the verbal and non-verbal levels, and attending to both one’s internal experience and external world, she helps clients attain greater authenticity, wellbeing and effectiveness, especially in environments of rapid change, volatility, ambiguity and uncertainty.

Ipek has 25 years experience working with business executives. She spent the first ten years of her career in investment banking and the second fifteen in the human side of business. This blended experience provides an appreciation for both the hard and soft aspects of business, enabling her to engage with clients in a unique and highly impactful way.

Since 1995 Ipek has worked in the executive and organizational development arena with Fortune 1000 organizations such as Adobe, Addison Avenue Credit Union, Agilent, Applied Materials, BEA Systems, EMC, Estee Lauder, Genentech, Oracle, PayPal, Pfizer, Qualcomm, Revlon, VMware, and Wells Fargo.

During this time she worked for eight years as a Consultant with Decker Communications/Novations Group and as Vice President, Organizational Consulting for Right Management Consultants. She currently serves as President of iş consulting. Prior to her transition into the organizational development field, she spent ten years on Wall Street engaged in mergers & acquisitions, private placements, venture capital, and investment management.

Ipek holds a PhD in Organizational Systems and MA in Psychology from Saybrook University. Her doctoral dissertation, titled The Leader’s Muse, investigated the connection between aesthetic sensibilities and leadership. She works with numerous assessment instruments, including the Enneagram, Signature Strengths, Inner Saboteurs, and LJ Map (a values survey). Ipek is President of the Deep Coaching Institute (an Enneagram based advanced coaching school). She has completed numerous coaching programs and spent a year engaged in post-graduate studies at NY Theological Seminary. In addition to her is consulting work, Ipek has facilitated an Interpersonal Dynamics course at Stanford Business School.

Ipek lives in Mill Valley, California with her husband and teenage daughter. She enjoys cooking, yoga, nature, and art.
